Sock Wars...

Remember to bring 2 socks this Friday, Nov 23 for SOCK WARS at McLaurin from 7:00 to 9:30. SOCK WARS involves putting one sock inside the other sock to make a near lethal weapon, a smoke machine, and running around the church hitting each other with them. Sound like fun? Bring a friend.

Dodgeball

This Friday we will be playing Dodgeball at St. Clement's School, 9636 109 Ave, from 7:00 to 9:30. We are playing against/with students from St. Joe's. Remember to bring indoor shoes. Thanks for your help with the shoeboxes this weekend. In total we collected about 3600 boxes and that were packed and shipped this week. It seems that they collect as many boxes on Saturday as they did all day Thursday and Friday. Who would'ver thought?

Drive In Movie--October 12

This Friday we are going to meet at the Temple's for a drive-in-movie. In case you don't know what that is, you sit in your car and watch a movie. We are going to watch Evan Almighty. You need to bring your blankets and pillows to trip out your trunk and maybe a lawn chair--depending on how many vehicles we have. To get to the Temples, take Highway 40 south of town and turn left at Township Road 710 (Formula Powell) and take the second right into Sandy Lane Point Estates. The Temple's live in the first place on the right. If your parents want to join us for the evening they are invited!!! In case you get lost the Temple's number is 532-9329.

Fingerblasters Friday September 28

This Friday we are meeting at McLaurin from 7:00 PM to 9:30 and playing Fingerblasters. Fingerblasters are a 9 inch by 1 inch foam projectile that shoots like a rubber band. The games we will play with the Fingerblasters will involve hitting each other with them.
You may recognize that this is a change and you may be asking "Why the change?". We had originally planned to go to Waterballoonmania but I, Darren, did not call to let them know we were planning on coming until yesterday, Monday, and they did not have room.
So hope you join us to play Fingerblasters.

Harvest Party on Friday September 21

An evening featuring a barn dance, farm games and fireworks. Meet at the Balisky/Scheidegger Farm at about 7:00 PM. To get there go north of Grande Prairie on Highway 2, past Clairmont and turn west down Emerson Trail (you turn off the #2 just before it goes to 2 lanes). Drive down Emerson Trail to Range Road 75 (roughly 10 miles). The farm is on the right of the highway just after RR75. Please make sure you dress country (hat, boots, jeans) and bring some baked goodies with you to share. A reminder that everyone, including parents and younger siblings are invited and that you don't need to worry if you have never danced before because we will be teaching some country dances and line dances during the evening.
